A Master of Ceremonies knows how to set the tone.
And that's exactly what MC Lyte did when she was the halftime performer for Game 7 of the WNBA Finals. The legendary rapper took center court on Saturday, Oct. 31 at Ballhalla with the Atlanta Dream up 30-24 over the Golden State Valkyries. She wore a bedazzled black baseball jersey and her long luxurious braids swayed with her every move.
MC Lyte gave renditions of "Paper Thin" and "Cold Rock a Party" as the Valkyries mascot, Violet, bounced along with the beat and the crowd waved their arms in unison.
Prior to tipoff, the Glide Ensemble performed the national anthem and wowed with their harmonies.

As much as the competition for the WNBA Finals has been tense on the court, the two teams have had a battle for best in-game entertainment as well.
Golden State had fans excited with En Vogue as the halftime performer for Game 5 with Dinah Jane of Fifth Harmony singing the national anthem. Alanis Morissette performed the national anthem for Game 2.
Atlanta had the sports world buzzing with lively halftime performances from T-Pain for Game 6, Quavo, T.I. and Dem Franchize Boyz for Game 3 and Big Boi and Sleepy Brown for the Game 4 break. T.I.'s 10-year-old daughter, Heiress, brought down the house with a rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" for Game 6 and Q Parker of 112 handled the national anthem for Game 3.
