President Donald Trump took aim at Bruce Springsteen with a nasty AI-generated image shared online.
The President, 80, posted an AI-generated cartoon “drawing” of Springsteen, 76, wearing a shirt that reads “I’m stupid” to Truth Social. Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is also depicted in the image, wearing a “Chris Christie 2016” pin and eating a “Super Size Me” meal. The faux-Springsteen looks disheveled while the depicted Christie appears to be eagerly observing the former’s “Bored in the USA” show.
Trump’s Truth Social post follows the President making disparaging comments about Springsteen during a speech at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

On Friday, Trump spoke at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, where he set his sights on Springsteen, asking, “What the hell happens to that guy?”
“He looks like hell. I'm sure he does not like the way I look. I don't look so bad. At a recent concert, Bruce, all he did was talk politics,” said Trump, “He ought to run for office. He made four political speeches on his three-hour show. The tour has been renamed: Bored in the USA."

Springsteen wrapped up his Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour in May. At the tour’s opening show, he denounced both the President and Attorney General Pam Bondi.

"She prosecutes our president's perceived enemies, covers up for his misdeeds and protects his powerful friends," Springsteen said of Bondi. He later dubbed Trump a “snowflake” who “can't handle the truth."
Springsteen has been an outspoken critic of Trump’s for years. The New Jersey icon spoke out against Trump when he was a presidential candidate in 2016.
“The republic is under siege by a moron, basically. The whole thing is tragic. Without overstating it, it’s a tragedy for our democracy,” said Springsteen of Trump. He denounced Trump for moving ideas like white nationalism to “the mainstream.”

During the 2024 United States Presidential election, Springsteen endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
In October 2024, he said that Trump's “disdain for the sanctity of our Constitution, the sanctity of democracy, the sanctity of the rule of law, and the sanctity of the peaceful transfer of power should disqualify him from the office of president ever again.”
The singer added that Trump “doesn’t understand the meaning of this country, its history, or what it means to be deeply American.”
On his most recent tour, Springsteen continued to decry Trump. “To many, we are now America, the reckless, unpredictable, predatory rogue nation,” said Springsteen, “That is this administration and this president’s legacy.”
Trump, meanwhile, has called Springsteen everything from "boring" to a "total loser."
