Scott Eastwood is opening up about a bad experience he had with an unnamed actor.

In a recent episode of Joe Roganā€˜s PowerfulJRE podcast, the 40-year-old son of Clint Eastwood, 96, slammed an actor he ā€œjust worked withā€ that dropped out of a movie during pre-production.

ā€œWithout saying any names … you know, people get too famous for too long. They think the world owes them something,ā€ Scott said on the podcast while promoting his new film Lucky Strike. ā€œAnd when it comes to doing the right thing, you’re like, ā€˜Dude … Do the right thing, don’t be a piece of s--t.’ They’re like, ā€˜F--k that. I can do whatever.’ ā€

ā€œWe started working on a film with a director and they decided, after we spent a bunch of money, that they just didn’t feel like they wanted to work with this other person and didn’t want to do the job,ā€ the actor explained.

ā€œI was like, ā€˜You need to pay that money back to that person who invested in you.’ And they [said], ā€˜I’m not going to do that,’ ā€ Scott continued.

The Suicide Squad star claimed that the mystery actor ā€œjust leftā€ in the middle of production, despite the film being about ā€œtheir story.ā€

Elsewhere during the interview, Scott reflected on growing up in the film industry and the downside of working in Hollywood.

ā€œI’ve seen some behavior in this business that is shocking,ā€ he told Rogan. ā€œThat would not go in other industries, but for some reason because we idolize [actors] … you’re like, ā€˜What dude?’ ā€

ā€œPeople think they want to be famous — you don’t want to be famous,ā€ the actor continued. ā€œRich, sure. But to be famous, that goal is so twisted … the whole other side of that is really ugly.ā€

ā€œI was lucky in some ways because I got to see it growing up and see how it’s bulls---,ā€ Scott said.

In June, Scott’s older brother Kyle claimed in an interview with French news service France Info that their father Clint, 95, had retired from acting.

ā€œI have many fond memories of working with him,ā€ Kyle told the outlet. ā€œNow he’s retired, he’s 95 years old. But I was very lucky to be able to work with him on quite a few films. It was a great experience for me.ā€

Scott later addressed his brother’s comments about their dad retiring, telling ScreenRant, ā€œWe’ll see. I have not heard that from his mouth at all. So I don’t know what that feels like. His career in general has been something to admire, something to be inspired by, and continues to inspire me.ā€PEOPLE has reached out to Scott’s representative for comment.
