Savannah Guthrie posted an emotional message and reiterated her appeal for additional details as her mother Nancy Guthrie's disappearance reaches the nine-month mark.

Nine months have passed since Savannah's 84-year-old mother was kidnapped from her Tucson, Arizona, residence. On Sunday, Nov. 1, the Today show host posted an image on Instagram of a sketch created by her young daughter, Vale, showing a blue umbrella encircled by blue raindrops.

Vale had inscribed a note on the artwork stating: "I know it might not seem like it but I really need my mommy." This comes after a bombshell update in Nancy Guthrie's kidnapping as the FBI was alerted to a new ransom note.

The illustration and its message appeared to evoke emotions in Savannah regarding her mother, who has been unaccounted for since Feb. 1.

Savannah, 54, posted both the sketch and a photograph of Nancy on Instagram, accompanied by text describing the profound impact her mother's vanishing has had on her family, reports the Mirror US.

"Found this old drawing from my daughter today. It says so much about how I feel," Savannah opened her message.

"The world goes on, things appear 'normal' - as we try to keep going and be strong, especially for our young kids - but it's not and it never will be," she elaborated.

Savannah and her spouse Michael Feldman are parents to two children: daughter Vale, 12, and son Charley, 9. Following her mother's disappearance, Savannah took approximately two months away from the Today show but has since resumed her on-air duties.

"For Annie and Tommy, for Cam and Kristine, for Mike and me and for all of mom's beloved grandchildren: we ache for her, we cry out for answers, we cannot move forward," Savannah expressed, naming her immediate family members.

"We need someone to help us, tell us what you know."

"Our mom was a light in this world. We want to celebrate her and give her the dignity she deserves. The reward is still available. Please. We are begging you. Please help us," she continued, urging once more for any details regarding Nancy's disappearance.

Savannah closed her message by stating, "Thank you to all those who have been kind and shown the best of humanity. Join us in praying without ceasing."

Nancy was declared missing on Feb. 1, following her last confirmed sighting on Jan. 31. The Pima County Sheriff's Department has maintained its probe, though significant developments in the investigation remain elusive.

On Friday, Oct. 30, the sheriff's department shared a case update via X, revealing that the Nancy Guthrie Task Force "traveled to Florida to meet with lab scientists to see what more could be done to advance the case.

"A number of ideas were discussed, and we continue to work with all of our partners to solve this case," the department posted on X.

The morning program anchor has consistently shared updates about Nancy across her social platforms, appealing to the public for any leads that might help locate her missing mother.

Six months after her mother vanished, Savannah shared a photograph of Nancy on Instagram, accompanied by a heartfelt message expressing that she and her family have endured "agony and despair" since Nancy's disappearance.

"There is a hole inside us that can never be filled. There is an ache that cannot be softened. And there is a determination in us that cannot be quenched - to find out what happened to her, so that we can give her the dignity of a proper goodbye - a celebration of her remarkable life that she so deserves," she expressed.

"We are begging for help. We are desperate. We need someone to come forward. Someone knows something," Savannah pleaded at the time.
