If there’s one thing to know about Sabrina Carpenter, is that she loves a duet with an icon… and luckily for us, so do we.
At the Met Gala celebrating the Costume Institute’s latest exhibit, “Costume Art,” the pop star took to the stage to perform a medley of her most popular songs, including “House Tour,” “Espresso,” and “Please, Please, Please.” Accompanied by a four-piece band and a quintet orchestra, and flanked by four dancers in tuxedos, Sabrina even had an outfit change mid-performance; switching her vintage 1991 Versace Pop Art-Marilyn Monroe and James Dean print dress into a sparkly fringed golden Bob Mackie mini-dress.
But without a doubt, the most memorable part of the performance came when Sabrina invited Stevie Nicks on-stage to sing the Fleetwood Mac classic “Landslide” together.

Earlier in the night, the two stars made striking appearances on the red carpet beneath the steps of the Museum of Metropolitan Art. Sabrina in a Dior dress by Jonathan Anderson made from actual film reels draped into an asymmetrical dress with a bow at her hip. She later revealed that the film was from the Sabrina, the 1954 Audrey Hepburn film, which is Sabrina’s favorite. The look was rounded out by a crystal headpiece and black platform heels. It was her fourth time attending the Met Gala and her first performing.
Stevie, on the other hand, made her debut at the Met Gala last night in her signature witchy style, as interpreted by designer John Galliano as part of his ongoing collaboration with Zara. A billowing dark blue taffeta gown paired with a velvet suit jacket and a top hat with a bird feather perched on its side. The look was completed with appliqué tulle and chiffon flowers stitched onto the dress’s waist. A “Gold Dust Woman” incarnate.
Just last month, Sabrina graced her fans with one of the most iconic collaborations during her headlining Coachella performance. She welcomed Madonna on stage beside her, singing the legendary diva’s hits “Vogue” and “Like a Prayer.” On top of it all, the two singers debuted a new song, “Bring Your Love,” which they then released as the second single of Madonna’s new album, Confessions II, on April 30.
But it seems Sabrina is not the only diva thinking about Stevie these days (but then again, aren’t we always thinking about Stevie?); last week Beyoncé caused a small stir online when she shared an old interview with the Bella Donna on her social media channels, possibly hinting at the rock-influences rumored to be a part of her upcoming album.
