Ross Chastain finished 15th Sunday at Kansas Speedway in a relatively uneventful afternoon for the Trackhouse Racing driver. Chastain started 13th and remained around the middle of the lead-lap field for much of the race.
The No. 1 Chevrolet avoided the major incidents and completed all 267 laps, finishing just over 23 seconds behind Kyle Larson. Chastain led one lap during pit sequencing but never seriously challenged the front-running Chase contenders.

Chastain earned 22 points at Kansas. He did not qualify for the 16-driver Chase field, so his points are no longer part of the championship race, although they continue to count toward his final season standing. The result represented a modest two-position loss from his starting spot on a day when Trackhouse teammate Connor Zilisch finished outside the top 25.
