Nikki Glaser returned to host the 2026 Golden Globes.

The comedian ended the ceremony with a sweet nod to the late Rob Reiner.

The Spinal Tap director and his wife, Michele, were killed in December.

Comedian Nikki Glaser ended the 2026 Golden Globes with a sweet tribute to late Hollywood director Rob Reiner, weeks after the beloved This Is Spinal Tap filmmaker and his wife, Michele, were found dead inside their California home in December 2025.

In the final moments of Sunday night's ceremony, Glaser — who returned to host the telecast for the second year in a row — took the stage one final time, wearing a glittering silver-and-black gown that she topped off with a black cap bearing the logo for the fictional Spinal Tap band, who appeared in Reiner's 1984 music industry mockumentary of the same name.

"Well, that's our show. This one went to 11," Glaser said, referencing a signature scene in the comedy film, which saw Reiner as documentary filmmaker Marty DiBergi interviewing guitarist Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest) about an amplifier that's volume goes to 11 instead of 10.

Glaser then bid the audience farewell with one final note, looking into the camera as she said, "Thank you guys for an amazing night, and I hope we found the line between clever and stupid. A good Chalamet to you all. Goodnight!"

The comedian's tribute came weeks after the Reiners were found dead inside their home, with their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, eventually being arrested on Dec. 15 and charged with two counts of first-degree murder related to his parents' deaths. He is set to be arraigned on Feb. 23.

The couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, reportedly discovered the bodies of Rob, 78, and Michele, 70, at approximately 3:45 p.m. local time in Los Angeles.

In a report by Entertainment Weekly's sister publication, PEOPLE, the Reiners' death certificates revealed that the couple died within "minutes" after sustaining "multiple sharp force injuries" reportedly inflicted "with [a] knife, by another."

Rob's storied career included helming multiple beloved films, including the aforementioned Spinal Tap as well as Stand By Me (1986), The Princess Bride (1987), and When Harry Met Sally (1989).

The filmmaker also directed the 2015 film Being Charlie from a screenplay co-written by Nick, who regularly appeared with his father on the resulting press tour for the production.

In addition to his directing prowess, Reiner's skills as an actor were recognized by the Golden Globes in the past.
