New ‘NCIS’ Spinoff ‘New York’ Adds Jennifer Beals & More to Cast

The NCIS franchise keeps growing and growing — and with so many characters to draw from over the years across all the shows, it’s no surprise the newest one is featuring one of them. LL Cool J is reprising his NCIS: LA role of Sam Hanna in the New Yorkspinoff. Joining him is someone he’s worked with before, Scott Caan, as the other lead, but he won’t be playing his Hawaii Five-0 character.
On Tuesday, July 7, the series added to its cast, with Jennifer Beals, Jacqueline Byers, Shane Harper, and Devin Druid regulars and rounding out the central team. CBS also announced that production begins in New York in July.

When will NCIS: New York premiere?
The new NCIS spinoff will be part of CBS’s fall 2026 lineup. It will air Tuesdays at 9/8c, between NCIS and the prequel NCIS: Origins (which is moving to 10/9c).

Who stars in NCIS: New York?
NCIS: New York stars LL Cool J as Sam Hanna and Scott Caan as Nick Schaeffer. Joining them are Jennifer Beals, Jacqueline Byers, Shane Harper, and Devin Druid.

Beals plays Assistant Special Agent in Charge Robyn Wells, the director of the NCIS New York field office who leads with her intuition and is widely respected by her team.
Byers’ NCIS Special Agent Addison “Addy” Ross is a rock-solid, tough and resourceful agent with something to prove. Harper’s NCIS Special Agent Wyatt Hill is fearless, sharp, highly skilled in the field and a hopeless romantic. Druid’s NCIS Tech Specialist Sean Sullivan is witty and brilliant but resistant to authority.
