Morgan Wallen appeared to take a phone out of a security guard's hands before throwing it across the stage during a concert.

In a video shared on social media, the country singer didn't seem happy to be recorded at his show at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The alleged incident happened on Friday night, June 5. The following evening, the 33-year-old canceled his concert in Pittsburgh, saying it was due to hazardous weather conditions.

The clip in question, captured by a concertgoer, shows Wallen singing as a security guard lifts her hands to record him.

Footage shows the country start gesturing to the phone before walking away from the camera.

However, he then comes back, rips the phone out of the woman's hands and throws it across the stage.

A person who shared the video on TikTok claimed a fan had handed her phone to the security guard so that she could hand it to Wallen.

However, at that point, the singer "launched it," the concergoer wrote on the social media platform.

The TikToker captioned the video, "Well that just happened... Amy gave her phone to the lady to hand to Morgan Wallen and he launched it."

They added, "I get it... security should be doing security things, but...."

Fans were shocked by the incident and many criticized Wallen, with a person describing the gesture as "arrogant and uncalled for."

One wrote, "I LOVE MORGAN, but come on guys that's ridiculous..."

Another commented, "To him its nothing, to us that's 1000-1500 bucks for a phone."

A third questioned, "Why would you do this to one of your fans?? That's wild."

Someone else said, "No because I don't get it. That was arrogant and uncalled for."

A person asked, "Why do people even go to his concerts???"

A TikToker commented, "Not even a swiftie but I now understand why everyone loves her so much. Her security is allowed to dance and pass phones to her and everything. This guy is a royal word I can't say on TikTok."

The day after the phone incident, Wallen called off his show on Saturday night, taking to his Instagram Stories to write, "After talking with local officials and my team, there is no choice but to cancel tonight's show due to severe adverse weather conditions expected throughout the rest of the day and night. Safety for my fans and crew is the highest priority. Refunds available at point of purchase."

In his later explanatory video, Wallen added that he has a "large stage that in those conditions could become fatal to a lot of folks around it." He emphasized that he "did the best" he could with the information presented to him "in that moment."

"I think my true fans know that that's not how I operate in general, but I had to say it," Wallen concluded, "Y'all take care."

The Express US has approached Morgan Wallen's representatives for comment on the phone incident.
