An expert has identified surprising similarities between Meghan Markle and Princess Catherine, suggesting the two have more in common than many realize.
The sisters-in-law haven't been seen together in years following the rift between their husbands, brothers Prince Harry and Prince William.
The two couples were once labeled the "Fab Four" by the media, with the future of the monarchy appearing secure.

However, shortly after the public embraced the quartet, Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties and subsequently launched a series of public criticisms of his family.
Prince Harry and Prince William are believed to be no longer in communication, which has also severed the connection between the sisters-in-law.
Despite their current estrangement, Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR has identified three commonalities the pair shares.

Both Meghan and Princess Catherine have visited numerous countries around the world.
Lynn told the Mirror: "Meghan would often share photographs and talk about the different travels that she'd been on the Tig, and she spent time in Buenos Aires working at the US Embassy as part of her university course.. She adds: ".
She adds: "Before Kate attended St Andrew's she spent time in Patagonia and did an art course in Italy during her gap year."

Whether spectating or participating in athletic activities, the sisters-in-law enjoy various forms of physical recreation. Lynn says: "Kate is a big fan of tennis, she is a patron of the All England Lawn and Croquet Club and is frequently seen in the Royal Box at Wimbledon.
"Kate has even attended Wimbledon with Meghan in the past. William and Kate are also close friends with tennis champion Roger Federer and his family.
"Meanwhile, Meghan often cheers on her close friend Serena Williams from the stands at the U.S. Open."

Royal enthusiasts have been eager to draw comparisons between Meghan and Princess Catherine's wardrobe selections through the years.
Lynn says, "Meghan and Kate are frequently compared for their fashion sense. They both have a keen interest in fashion and are often seen photographed looking chic and stylish.
"Meghan's preferred designer is Caroline Herrera, while Kate prefers Temperley.
"Kate has a more conservative dress sense and is mindful of her expenses when it comes to dressing up."
She notes that Catherine typically rewears her outfits and purchases from mainstream retailers, whereas Meghan gravitates toward high-end fashion houses.
