Lara Trump has faced criticism for joining President Donald Trump during his weekend visit to Ireland.

On Sunday, September 13, the 43-year-old Fox News host took to X to share another look at the Trump family's two-day Irish trip, where the 80-year-old Commander-in-Chief held meetings with various Irish officials and attended the Irish Open. Following photos from the birthday celebration of her and Eric Trump's son, Luke, marking his ninth birthday, Lara uploaded a video.

Luke and his sister, Carolina, six, were captured running and playing on the tarmac at Shannon International Airport before the president's return flight to Washington, D.C. Social media users responded negatively, arguing that Lara and other Trump family members made the journey at taxpayers' expense. This coincided with Trump's announcement regarding Karoline Leavitt's temporary replacement.

Lara's video caption, which swept from the children playing to Trump addressing reporters before boarding Air Force One, read, "Sometimes you just have to let them be kids.."

Multiple social media users flooded the comments criticizing Lara and the Trump family, with one person posting, "What a waste of taxpayers money to send the trump crime family on a golf vacation."

Another fumed, "I see you took a family business trip on our dime. How precious," as a third added, "On our dime," and a fourth slammed, "WHY ARE YOU THERE??? FREE VACATION." Yet another raged, "Grifting itch sucking the government teat for a family vacation."

Another added, "Always let them be kids. They will be grown ups long enough:)," as a third commented, "So innocent and unfazed by all the hoopla. Oh to be that age again!" Yet another complimented, "Yes, you do and you and Eric do a great job. God bless you."

On Saturday, the Fox News personality posted two images on X from the opening day of Trump's two-day trip. It appeared that amid discussing the unification of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland at a press conference and delivering remarks about U.S. politics at the U.S. ambassador's residence, Trump found time to mark his grandson Luke's ninth birthday.

Lara posted a photograph showing Trump alongside Eric, 42, Luke, and Carolina standing before a birthday cake decorated with a football helmet. The second image captured Trump beaming behind his grandson. In the post's caption, Lara wrote, "No better way to celebrate being 9 than in Ireland with Grandpa! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LUKE!"

While many flocked to the comments section to extend birthday wishes to Luke, others couldn't resist pointing out that both Eric and Lara appeared to tower over the president. Trump, who maintains he stands six feet three inches tall, was photographed between Eric and Lara in the first image.

He appeared roughly an inch shorter than Lara, who measures 5 feet 11 inches tall, though she was likely wearing heels. Eric, meanwhile, stands at an impressive 6 feet 5 inches.

One user questioned, "How much taller is Eric Trump than his dad, Donald Trump and how? Why is there such a difference in this photo?" Another echoed, "Why does Trump seem so short?" A third claimed, "Ain't no way Trump is 6'3". "

A fourth social media user asked, "Lara, you're 5'11" and with 5-inch heels you'd be 6'4" so why are you and 6'5" @EricTrump sooo much taller than 6'3" @realDonaldTrump???" A fifth added, "Didn't realize how tall you were. Dwarfing 6'3" Donald there. Happy birthday, Luke." Yet another commented, "Who the f--- is that? That is not our 6'4" inch President?"

Others didn't exactly care about the president's height. They slammed the Trump family for allegedly using taxpayer money to accompany Trump to Ireland. One person bashed, "Must be nice to travel on taxpayer dollars," as another added, "Yeah thanks for making the tax payer pay for your family 'diplomatic trip' f--- you and your grifter family. Judgment day will come."

Others continued to slam Trump's family. A third bashed, "The whole grifting family went on our dime." A fourth penned, "I sure hope your family paid for this trip and that it was not paid from taxpayer funds! But hey, with you trump grifters, I doubt it!"

A fifth raged, "Oh yay!! We paid for another Trump family vacation. Thrilled to do this for you guys!" Yet another chimed in, "Man you are all tone deaf while everyone struggles because Grandpa has jacked our prices." Joining Eric and Lara Trump on the Ireland trip were the president's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr. and his new wife, Bettina Trump.
