Josh Allen has commented on the death of Ed Oliverās 2-year-old son.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback, 30, said he felt āvery sad and angryā about how the news came out while addressing reporters on Saturday, Aug. 22.
āFirst off, I want to say thank you to the ones who knew about it and allowed him to have his moment and his time. Itās very sad how it came out. It makes me very, very sad and angry at the same time. Obviously, very unfortunate what happened. As a teammate of his and as someone in this locker room, all we can do is love on him,ā Allen said, according to an X post from journalist Andy Young.
āThereās nothing you can say to make the situation any better, except being there for him in whatever ways he needs. And thatās what weāre going to continue to do. Thatās what teammates do. We love upon each other and try to hold each other up when weāre down,ā he continued.
āI canāt imagine what heās going through. But the way heās dealt with it, itās been unbelievable,ā Allen added.

Allen, who shares a daughter with wife Hailee Steinfeld, continued to praise Oliver, 28, for going to training camp after the tragedy.
āI couldnāt imagine the strength that it takes to do that. And for him to be that strong for himself and his family. I canāt speak enough about it. Itās very hard to wrap your mind around a teammate going through a situation like that, because as you have kids, you understand what that could be like and what that could feel like. You never want to put yourself in that situation or those shoes,ā he said.
āHeās a strong man,ā the football player added of his grieving teammate.
