Following recent job cuts at the Howard Stern Show, multiple employees who were offered severance deals reportedly turned them down after discovering they amounted to just one week's salary for each year of service.
The packages allegedly included a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), but several workers refused to sign as they pushed for better compensation, according to one insider. Earlier this month, SiriusXM implemented redundancies affecting staff on the legendary radio personality's program, following news that the station's top talent would broadcast just one live episode weekly.
This development followed an announcement from one of Stern's co-hosts, Rahsaan Rogers, who revealed he was departing the station after spending 16 years there.

"Some people are still negotiating their exit packages," a source told the US Sun. Another source claims that others were able to negotiate more money after a back-and-forth with SiriusXM's HR executives.
Reactions to the cuts have been varied, with some staff members taken by surprise while others reportedly said "the writing was on the wall," Express US reports. The source added, "Staff knew these layoffs were coming."

Over a dozen team members were dismissed, including five on-air personalities, such as Rogers. The veteran broadcaster shared the announcement on LinkedIn earlier this week, writing, "After 16 incredible years with The Howard Stern Show and the Howard Stern Channels, I'm opening a new chapter.
"I got to interview people I grew up admiring, direct live broadcasts in real time, and mentor some seriously talented producers along the way," he continued. "To everyone I worked with over these 16 years: thank you. What a ride."
Stern holds a guaranteed contract with SiriusXM that runs through 2028, yet devoted listeners have been pulling the plug on their subscriptions after the host announced the show would be scaled back to once a week.

Stern and his longtime co-host Robin Quivers first joined forces on the airwaves in March 1981, eventually parlaying their success into a landmark $500 million deal with Sirius in 2006.
Since making that move, Stern's broadcasting schedule has steadily shrunk over the years — dropping from four days a week to three, and most recently down to a single three-hour show per week.
Currently, Stern is enjoying his lengthy summer break, but when he returns in September, audiences will get their first taste of his dramatically reduced schedule.
