Grant Enfinger experienced a frustrating afternoon in Friday's Love's RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway, finishing 24th after multiple setbacks ended his opportunity for a strong result. The CR7 Motorsports driver started 18th and led four laps during the event.
Enfinger initially demonstrated competitive speed, working his way toward the front during the second stage. His No. 9 Chevrolet eventually moved into the lead as the drafting lanes changed, but his afternoon became more complicated when he experienced a flat tire near the end of the stage.
The tire problem forced Enfinger to give up track position and recover during the final portion of the race. Despite the setback, he returned to contention and remained competitive as the laps wound down. However, his afternoon ended on Lap 79 when Thomas Annunziata lost control in the outside lane and collected Enfinger in the resulting accident.

The damage prevented him from continuing, leaving him 24th after completing 78 laps. Enfinger earned 13 points and remains 10th in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Chase standings with 2,152 points. He trails championship leader Kaden Honeycutt by 219 markers, eliminating him from championship contention.
Enfinger will attempt to rebound at Martinsville and Homestead-Miami.
