The Wednesday, September 16, episode of the ABC drama ended with the arrest of Cynthia Watros’ character Nina. For those curious, here’s everything that happened leading up to Nina’s dramatic arrest in the latest General Hospital episode.
Why Nina got arrested on General Hospital
The situation unfolded as Nina bumped into Sonny at the Metro Court Gardens and confided that she might need to hire Ric. She explained that Carly had tipped off the WSB about her heated public clash with Jack right before he vanished. Even though she had no clue about Jack’s whereabouts, Nina didn’t think it would amount to much. Still, she decided it was smart to get legal counsel just in case (via soapoperadigest.com).
Following his chat with Nina, Sonny crossed the restaurant to meet Tracy. She told him Brook Lynn had confessed to being the other driver in Curtis and Jordan’s accident and opened up about the fallout with Chase and Gio. But when Tracy asked Sonny to help persuade their grandson to forgive Brook Lynn, Sonny pushed back, accusing Tracy of trying to repair Brook Lynn’s bond with her son because she couldn’t mend things between Brook Lynn and Chase.

Just as Nina was booking an appointment with Ric, Ava walked into the restaurant, and Nina quickly briefed her on the WSB probe. Ava kept her own involvement hidden while trying to pry out what the WSB had uncovered.
That’s when Agent Baines interrupted them, placing Nina under arrest in connection with the disappearance and presumed murder of WSB Agent Jack Brennan. He then escorted a handcuffed Nina out as she thrashed and shouted, while Sonny, Tracy, onlookers filming with their phones, and a shocked Ava looked on.
