Firefighters have been working through the night to tackle a blaze at a landfill site near Peterhead.

Crews were called to Stoneyhill Quarry near Longhaven village at about 14:15 on Saturday, initially sending six vehicles and two specialist resources.

By Sunday morning, three fire engines and a water carrier remained at the scene.

Footage taken from a car driving along a nearby road captures thick smoke billowing out of a building.

Police have urged members of the public to avoid the area, with road closures in place between Auchiries and Cairn Catto.
