Ex-CNN Host Brooke Baldwin Fires Back at Megyn Kelly for False Claims on Her Sex Life: ‘Talk About a Reckless Disregard for the Truth’

Former CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin hit back at Megyn Kelly on Sunday, accusing her of failing “Journalism 101” when talking about Baldwin’s sex life in a conversation on her show with the hosts of the “manosphere” podcast Ruthless.
Kelly told the Ruthless co-hosts last week that Baldwin used to be a “serious news anchor,” but now, “Her work and her mission include banging four men in a month.”
Kelly was referencing Baldwin’s recent podcast post about casual sex, but upon actually listening to the episode (or reading the post), Baldwin clearly stated that she declined to entertain the propositions.
“Turned them all down,” Baldwin wrote. “Every. Single. One.”
Baldwin addressed Kelly’s salacious and false claim in a new episode posted Sunday, writing, “My last Substack was not about me having casual sex. It was about me choosing not to. It was about heartbreak. Discipline. Discernment. Protecting my energy while I build something bigger than myself.”

“And yet, for nearly nine minutes, Megyn framed an entire discussion around a false account of my sex life and my bodily choices, alongside three men who cackled, laughed, and berated me,” Baldwin wrote, continuing:
In addition to her millions of YouTube subscribers, [Kelly] also posted it to her many other social media and podcast accounts, and broadcast on SiriusXM. And these lies were clipped, posted, and syndicated by other outlets with comparable audiences of their own; other journalists, editors, and media teams also never bothered to read my original Substack or check with the original source; me.
On her own podcast Thursday, Kelly admitted that she hadn’t read Baldwin’s prior post and walked back her incorrect claim — while largely doubling down on her attacks.
“Brooke Baldwin was CNN anchor for over 10 years, we played some of this yesterday, in which she — she has a Substack now in which she’s bragging about casual sex, and how she had the opportunity to sleep with four men this past month,” Kelly said.
“Well, as it turns out, we should have paid to read the rest of her stupid Substack, which we didn’t, because, who gives a sh*t about Brooke Baldwin, to be honest?” Kelly said. “And in the paid pieces of the article, she confesses she actually did not have casual sex with these men! It was all just a teaser to get you to pay to listen to her lame recitations about her life.”
Baldwin addressed Kelly’s follow-up comments in Sunday’s piece, writing, “she did another nine-minute segment defaming me. This time, she briefly claimed that she had not read my full Substack before making her original false accusations. Even if I were to believe she didn’t read my full piece, this is an admission that failed to satisfy the most basic standards of journalism. Talk about a reckless disregard for the truth.”
