The Philadelphia 76ers pulled off the stunner of the offseason when they acquired Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics in exchange for Paul George, two first-round picks, and two second-round picks. The Sixers are bringing in a player who has won a finals MVP award in 2024 and is coming off one helluva season as the No. 1 option with Jayson Tatum sidelined.

As the Sixers move forward, they appear to be the biggest challenger to the New York Knicks in the East. A trio of Brown, Tyrese Maxey, and Joel Embiid figure to be incredibly tough to stop, plus the presence of rising star VJ Edgecombe and the addition of Dean Wade, and Philadelphia will certainly be in the mix.

Draymond Green hopped on his podcast, "The Draymond Green Show" and gave his thoughts on the deal. After expressing the point of view of Tatum, he gave praise to Philadelphia:

Philly made out like bandits. You gave up two first round picks which aren't going to be top 5 picks, which aren't gonna probably produce the caliber of player of Jaylen Brown. What a win! I can't believe Jaylen Brown is headed to the Philadelphia 76ers, but my guy Bob (Myers) strikes again!

The Sixers are certainly having an aggressive offseason led by new President of Basketball Operations Mike Gansey and a strong front office around him. Of course, Myers is helping him along and finding ways to improve the roster, as well as assistant GM Jameer Nelson. Philadelphia certainly made out as the winners in the Brown trade.
