Dorinda Medley isn't holding back her opinion when it comes to the drama between Summer House stars Ciara Miller, Amanda Batula, and West Wilson after the latter two confirmed their rumored romance on social media Tuesday.
"It's actually making Sandoval look amenable almost," the Real Housewives of New York City alum told cohost Kiki Monique during Tuesday's episode of their SiriusXM podcast, Reality Checked. "Because they were all living together and sleeping by each other and they've gone through years together, years and years and years of growing. Amanda's been with Ciara since she was a young girl. That's a sisterhood. That's a deep bond. That's a soulful relationship. Those are called gifts that we get as women, when you have a bond."
Medley went on, saying, "I remember thinking a couple weeks ago when I saw her wearing this Alexander Wang outfit, Amanda, in a photo shoot, and thinking she really is in a great place. 'She is going to be another Paige DeSorbo, like this is the jumping off [point]; who knows what's going to happen, she's going to have her own show!' She gave it all away for this."

Medley is, of course, referring to fellow reality TV star Tom Sandoval, who sent the Bravo universe into a tailspin when it was revealed in 2023 that he had cheated on his then-girlfriend of nine years, Ariana Madix, with their friend Rachel "Raquel" Leviss. The torrid Vanderpump Rules affair became best known as "Scandoval."
For those who haven't caught the news yet, Wilson and Batula shared the new status of their relationship on Tuesday, weeks after gossip blog DeuxMoi reported that they were allegedly hooking up. While there has been no confirmed timeline of when the controversial relationship between Batula and Wilson began, it's assumed the Summer House stars only recently got together — a little more than a month after Batula and her husband, Kyle Cooke, announced their split in January.
Fans have been vocally concerned about Miller, Wilson's ex and Batula's BFF. Miller and Wilson had a very public breakup after dating for a few months during the show's eighth season. Although their brief dalliance following Wilson's addition to the cast in 2023 ended on less than friendly terms, the pair have maintained a will-they-or-won't-they vibe ever since.
The rumor created ripples throughout the Summer House fandom considering that the show's latest season featured multiple cast members wondering if Miller and Wilson were getting back together, with the latter being notably disturbed when approached by costar Jesse Solomon about possibly kissing Miller if given the chance. At one point in the season, Wilson even referred to Miller as "the love of my life."

In another part of Tuesday's episode, Medley and Monique expressed shock at Batula and Wilson's joint statement. "We've seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity," their statement said in part. "We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care."
It continued: "We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care. As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless."

Medley wryly asked her cohost: "If someone read that to you and said guess who she's talking about, would it ever be West?"
Monique was notably unimpressed. "Yeah, West?! You just met him, are you kidding me? But Dorinda, the part that's really like getting under me, it is a joint statement," she lamented to the Traitors alum. The two of them posted this together, identically. We're in a world where you just posted a joint statement with your soon-to-be ex-husband, now you're posting a joint statement with your friend's guy that she was dating."
"Best friends. Ride or die," Medley noted, referring to Miller and Batula's former friendship.
Monique went on to declare that Batula was "officially dead in my book."
"Like there is no redeeming for me, for her, absolutely none," she said, to which Medley added that Batula went "from hero to zero."
The sentiment from Medley and Monique is not an unpopular one. Several Bravo stars seemingly responded (without actually saying anything) to the rumors in similar tones. Southern Charm's Austen Kroll, who was recently spotted hanging out with Cooke, sent tongues wagging when he seemingly referenced the alleged hookup in an Instagram Story posted that same weekend. "Pasta and f* your friends exes are apparently so back," Kroll wrote.
Summer House newbie KJ Dillard chimed in several times throughout the drama, posting two new Stories on Tuesday. The first was a series of stills of himself, Ciara, and season 10 newbie Mia Calabrese, with the added caption, "I love my big sisters for life." He followed that up a few hours later by writing "logging off..." on top of a Spotify screenshot of the song "Back Stabbers" by The O'Jays.

Both Dillard and Calabrese followed in Miller's footsteps and quietly unfollowed both Batula and Wilson on Instagram after they shared their joint statement. Batula and Wilson have also unfollowed the 30-year-old nurse, signifying a less-than-amicable friendship split.
Neither Cooke nor Miller have spoken out since Batula and Wilson confirmed their romance.
