Costco members lined up on Friday, Jan. 30, for an exclusive pair of its Nike SB Dunk collaboration sneakers, and while some may have gotten a pair, others will end up paying hundreds (or thousands) of dollars to buy them from third-party sellers.

According to Complex and Women's Wear Daily (WWD), the coveted sneakers were sold at Costco locations in New York, Oregon, California and Washington state. The Kirkland Signature x Nike SB Dunk Low was priced at $135, but third-party seller websites, including StockX, eBay and Goat, have pairs available for between $400 to $5,000.

Multiple social media accounts and YouTubers, including the DNA Show and Jacques Slade, posted clips of the long lines at the participating Costco stores.

DJ Willingham of the DNA Show said he arrived at his local Costco at 9 a.m. PT and encountered a line of people waiting for the shoes; however, he said the wholesale retailer "executed (the drop) perfectly."

Will Costco's Kirkland Nike SB Dunks restock?

It is unclear whether Costco's Kirkland Nike SB Dunk will restock or see a wider release. USA TODAY contacted Nike and Costco on Saturday, Jan. 31, but has not received a response.

What are Costco's Kirkland Nike SB Dunks?

According to WWD and Complex, the limited Nike SB Dunks are inspired by Kirkland's signature sweatshirts. The shoes feature a heather gray cotton upper, and Kirkland's logo appears on the lateral heel, while the inner tongue tag resembles Costco shopping labels.

Additionally, a Kirkland graphic is used for the insole, while the underside of the insole hides a label for Costco's popular $1.50 hot dog. Also included is a removable tag that replicates Costco's Executive Membership card.

The collaborative sneaker was expected to launch during the 2025 holiday season; however, neither Nike nor Costco confirmed a release date, leading to rumors that the drop was possibly scrapped, according to Complex.
