Chelsea Handler is asking why Joe Rogan is the highest paid podcast host of the year

Forbes released a list of the highest-paid podcasters of 2026, including its estimated podcast-related earnings, with Rogan in the top spot

“82 million [dollars] to be completely uninformed,” Handler wrote in an Instagram comment

Chelsea Handler is questioning Joe Rogan‘s reported income.

The comedian, 51, has voiced her disappointment after Forbes released its new list of the highest-paid podcasters of 2026, which has Rogan, 58, and his The Joe Rogan Experience show sitting at the top spot with $82 million in earnings between June 2025 and June 2026.

On Thursday, July 30, Handler commented on an Instagram post from the publication and proposed a question: “WHO IS PAYING JOE ROGAN $82 Million?” she wrote.

“Give that to our vets, or our children!!!” Handler commented. “82 million to be completely uninformed and say ‘whoopsie doodle,’ every time he’s wrong, which is FREQUENT?”

PEOPLE has reached out to a rep for Rogan for comment on Handler’s remarks.

Rogan has previously been under fire for spreading misinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic on his podcast, as well as his use of racial slurs in past interviews, which he issued an apology for in 2022. Among Rogan’s critics is musician Neil Young, who temporarily had Spotify remove his music from the platform over its platforming of the podcaster.
