The Princess of Wales enjoyed a special Friday evening alongside Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, attending a landmark celebration at the Royal Ballet School.

Catherine and her two youngest children were present for a performance commemorating the institution's centenary.

Audiences were treated to the third act of Swan Lake, alongside Christopher Wheeldon's Christening Suite, both serving as highlights of the evening's programme.

The outing represented a sweet family occasion for the royals, with the prestigious ballet school marking a century of excellence in dance education.

Charlotte is known to be a huge dancer, most notably ballet and tap.

Her passion for ballet in particular is well established, with her mother confirming back in 2017 the young princess "absolutely loves" the art form.

Prince William has also previously offered a glimpse into his daughter's enthusiasm at home, noting: "Charlotte is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything."

The princess's dedication to dance was further celebrated when she turned eight in 2023.

For that milestone birthday, she was taken to the Royal Opera House to witness The Royal Ballet and the National Ballet of Canada perform Cinderella.

Friday's outing continued what has become a cherished tradition for the ballet-loving royal.

The excursion came just hours before Catherine stepped out solo for the Wimbledon Ladies' Singles Final yesterday afternoon.

Before taking her seat in the Royal Box alongside Czech-US former tennis ace Martina Navratilova, Catherine met young Jenna Fontanilla, a court coverer and formerly a member of the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative.

The royal congratulated Jenna on her work, adding: "I'm sure you need a bit of a break after this."

She also delighted Thea Stach, who performed the coin toss at the Ladies' Wheelchair Singles Final that saw Yui Kamiji complete her career Golden Slam.

The princess told the 12-year-old "I love your skirt", as the youngster sheepishly looked to the floor.

She then watched on, basking in the south London heat, as Linda Nosková beat Karolína Muchová in a dramatic Ladies' Singles Final.

The Princess of Wales handed the coveted Wimbledon trophy to the 21-year-old Czech star, marking her first Grand Slam victory.

The ninth seed's triumph made her the youngest women's champion at SW19 since fellow Czech Petra Kvitová lifted the Venus Rosewater Dish 15 years ago.

Catherine is expected to return to SW19 this afternoon, where four-time Grand Slam winner Jannik Sinner takes on Alexander Zverev in the Men's Singles Final.

In her role as Patron of the All England Tennis Club, Catherine will return to the court to present the Gentlemen's Singles Trophy to the victor.

Catherine has served as royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016, establishing herself as a familiar figure at SW19.
