Chase Infiniti has had the support of both of her parents throughout her breakout success.
The One Battle After Another actress was raised by her parents, Keith and Kim Payne, in Indianapolis, where she first discovered her love of acting. Her mom frequently took both of her daughters, Chase and Dolcé, to musicals and plays, and she soon encouraged Chase to start auditioning.
Chase began acting in local plays before she moved to Chicago to study musical theater at Columbia College. Shortly after her 2022 graduation, Chase landed her first major acting role in the 2024 limited series Presumed Innocent and later scored her first film performance in the Oscar-winning movie, One Battle After Another — for which she was also nominated for several best actress awards.
As her career has taken off, Chase has frequently credited her parents and thanked them by bringing them to various award shows, including the Golden Globes and the NAACP Image Awards.

Chase's parents— who have been married since 1996, per his Facebook — raised her in Indianapolis. Keith owns a construction and remodeling company, ARHI Bldg & Remodeling. Meanwhile, Kim focused on raising Chase and her younger sister, Dolcé, at home, as the actress told Vanity Fair in August 2025.
Chase grew up in a creative household, since her dad was a drummer. "He used to be in a jazz band, so I grew up with music constantly playing at home,” she told Dazed Digital in late 2025. “I was always singing and putting on shows for my parents.”
While Chase maintains a close relationship with both of her parents and Dolcé, she has also credited her late paternal grandmother, LauWana Payne, for teaching her invaluable lessons.
“She would smile at everybody, speak to everybody—very midwestern of her,” she told Essence in 2026. “And I would always watch her with such admiration. Because I want to be a ball of light like she is. Who wouldn’t want to be like her? I miss her very much and I think about her often.”
They named her after two of their favorite film characters

Chase has shared that her unique moniker was inspired by two of her parents' favorite movies.
"When my parents were coming up with my name, they had watched Batman Forever, and they were obsessed with Nicole Kidman as Chase Meridian, and they were like, 'Regardless of anything, like, our child has to be named Chase,' " the actress said in a interview on the Today show in October 2025.
She continued, "And then they had to figure out a middle name, and then they had watched Toy Story, and my parents were like, 'Oh my gosh, To infinity and beyond!' 'Infiniti!' And so that’s where Chase Infiniti comes from."
Chase joked that since neither of her parents are in the film industry, it's "really crazy" that they manifested their daughter's career. She teased, "Like, how did you predict that?"

While growing up in Indianapolis, Chase's mom started taking her to musicals and plays across town before encouraging her to pursue acting. Chase auditioned for her first school musical when she was 10 years old and remembered thinking, "I want to do this for the rest of my life," as she told Vanity Fair.
“I’ve just always wanted to perform,” Chase told The Face in 2024. “When I was little, I wanted to be a singer – to be onstage. My mom encouraged me to try out for a musical and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.”
She continued pursuing musical theater at her local Indianapolis high school and felt like it was the "only place" where she belonged.
"I had a really hard time figuring out where I fitted in," she told The Guardian in December 2025. "But the only place I really felt like I belonged was in theatre and performing. That was one place where I could completely lose myself and feel at home and at peace in a way that I never had felt before. I went to a school for musical theatre [in Indianapolis]. That’s where I really started to learn the importance of an ensemble, and working as a team, because no performance is individual."
After graduating high school, she studied musical theater at Columbia College. Her 2022 senior showcase was shown to a talent manager who got her an agent, and she quickly began auditioning for movies and shows.
Although her early acting days were initially filled with rejections, she turned to her parents for support and encouragement. She told Vanity Fair that her dad "always instilled in me that you have to get comfortable with 'no.' "
She's brought her "extremely proud" dad to several events

After breaking out with her role in Presumed Innocent, Chase hit the big screen in the September 2025 comedy thriller, One Battle After Another. In the movie, Chase portrayed Willa Ferguson/Charlene Calhoun, the daughter of Leonardo DiCaprio and Teyana Taylor's characters.
For her performance, Chase received several award nominations — including Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role at The Actor Awards, Best Actress in a Leading Role at the BAFTAs and Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes.
Throughout the award show circuit, Chase has brought along her mom or dad to celebrate with her. Keith was her date for the 57th NAACP Image Awards and the 2026 Golden Globe Awards. While speaking about playing several famous actors' daughters on-screen, she told Extra at the Golden Globes that she would pick her own dad as her favorite dad, whom she "loves very much."
"I'm glad I can bring him to this and kind of share this experience with everybody," Chase told Extra. "I brought my mom to some things and then getting to bring him has been so special."
Meanwhile, Keith gushed about how he is "extremely proud" of his elder daughter.
"I'm extremely proud," he told the outlet. "The fun thing of this is watching the other dads portray her dad, and I'm like, 'Ah that’s kind of close but, you know, I'm the OG.' "
He continued, "When you have a child, and you watch them grow up and aspire to to this, there’s nothing you can say. It's epic, that’s all I can say. I mean my wife and I, her whole family and also the crew all back at home were so proud of her."
