Just days after the death of legendary Hollywood actor and director Rob Reiner, ABC News will be releasing a new TV special about the tragic events that led to his death.
Reiner, 78, was found stabbed to death in his Brentwood-area home in Los Angeles on Sunday, Dec. 14, alongside his wife, Michele, 68. Their son, Nick Reiner, was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder in the deaths of his parents.

The Rob Reiner Story: A Hollywood Tragedy
While the investigation continues and Hollywood grapples with the profound loss, ABC News is releasing a new TV special on Tuesday, titled, The Rob Reiner Story: A Hollywood Tragedy.
The "timely" special will air just two days after the tragic deaths of Reiner and his wife, sharing the latest updates on Nick's arrest.
According to ABC News, the special "provides a detailed look at the investigation into the killings and the impact Reiner had on television and film history."
The beloved director and comedic actor is known for a number of movie and TV projects, including his starring role in All in the Family, as well as his directorial hit films like When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride, A Few Good Men and many, many more.
The ABC special will features interviews with actor Corey Feldman, who appeared in Reiner's film Stand By Me, as well as ABC News contributors Chris Connelly and Larry Hackett.
How To Watch the Rob Reiner ABC News Special
The Rob Reiner Story: A Hollywood Tragedy will air on Tuesday, Dec. 16at 10 pm ET on ABC. It will also be able to stream the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.
